Hello Dolls,
Today I am going to be talking about fitness and how I achieve it in my life. I am always being asked how I stay so fit considering my busy lifestyle. What if I told you that you don’t have to do cardio for 40 minutes to an hour to burn fat! The trick is to do a higher intensity workout for a smaller amount of time. The results will be that you will burn twice the amount of fat in less time. This past weekend my cousin Krystal was in town and between eating out every night and indulging in yummy cocktails; I kinda “fell off the wagon.” So today I will be sharing some of my favorite fitness routines that help me burn body fat. To start, I like to do an amazing routine that is designed to elevate my heart rate and burn unwanted body fat.
The first part of my workout is spent on the Stair Master. This machine is very effective in building up your legs and booty and elevating your heart rate. I usually do the stair master for a total of 15 minutes. I walk for one minute and then I squat on the machine for the second minute, making sure I stay as low as I can. The third minute I skip each stair and on the fourth minute I do 20 jumping squats. I continue to do this routine until I reach the 15 minute time.
Doing Burpees is another great workout that will help burn body fat. I do 20 burpees, 30 mountain climbers, and 25 jumping squats. I usually do 5 sets of this routine and by the end I am hurting! By the way, this routine can be done outside.
The treadmill is also another machine that I use for my daily workout. I enjoy doing the treadmill on a high incline. I do 15.0 high incline and walk on 3.0 speed for two minutes. For the third minute, I run as fast as I can on 7.0 speed on high incline to get my heart rate up. I do this for one minute. Then I stop for 30 seconds and I continue this routine for 15 minutes. By doing this routine you are shocking your body and burning body fat at the same time.
After my rigorous workout I like to use the steam room to help release all the bad toxins and soothe my sore muscles. I will be doing this routine for 6 days straight this week.
My biggest advice to any of you trying to make fitness a lifestyle choice instead of a chore is to find something that motivates you to work out. For me, it’s to feel happier and healthier. What’s the motivation for you?
