Birthday In Seattle

November 27, 2018 - Leave a Comment

I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is over! I feel like it flew by so fast. As I promised, my Seattle trip post is finally here. I have to say that Seattle is pretty much what everyone said it would be…”absolutely Amazing”! The city, food, museums, trees, weather and culture are all unique! Seattle is definitely a city that I want to revisit.

The first day that my cousin, Krystal, my friend, Celenia and myself arrived in Seattle; we had to check out Pike Place Market. Pike Place Market is a place where there is lots of food stands, restaurants, shops, fresh fish and beautiful flowers. You are going to be tempted to buy everything and the cost is very affordable. However, if you will be walking all over the city in the rain, like we were; you may want to keep your spending to a minimum. We did find a cute restaurant at Pike Place Market that I would highly recommend. Athenian is a seafood and bar restaurant. The food was delicious and the drinks were tasty. The halibut fish was ‘hands down” my favorite dish. After eating we decided to check out a point of interest in the city. Apparently the Gum Wall is really famous. It is basically a wall that people stick their chewed gum on.
On our second day in Seattle, we spent the entire day site seeing. We wanted to experience as much as we could in one day; so our first stop was the Chihuly Garden and Glass Center. The art inside Chihuly is made of glass and it is so colorful that it is mesmerizing! Our second stop was The Space Needle. It is a great way to see the whole city of Seattle. As we were feeling super adventurous; we decided to jump on the ferry to Bremerton. On our way to Bremerton, we were fortunate enough to see whales in the ocean. What a magnificent sight! Bremerton is a small town that has cute shops, wineries, and great restaurants. We stopped at The Harbor Public House restaurant that has a cottage atmosphere over looking the harbor. This is another place that you’ll want to revisit.
Our last day in Seattle we visited The Museum of Flight. It’s a cool museum that has a lot of unique planes. I was so excited to go on the Underground tour, which was my favorite. I learned so much about Seattle and how it was built. I also learned that it is haunted! After our tour, we found a cute little bar that just opened. Bad Bishop has an urban atmosphere with delicious food. I’m really looking forward to visiting again.
Yes, Seattle is known for its cold and rainy weather; but the Seattle that I got to experience was beautiful. So thank you Seattle for an awesome birthday experience!

Answering All Your Fitness Questions

October 22, 2018 - Leave a Comment

Hello Friends,

I’m answering all the fitness questions on today’s blog post. The past couple of weeks I been getting some messages on Instagram regarding my fitness. As you all know I train 5 to 6 days of week, and love showing you guys my workout routines on Instastory. Working out for me helps releases stress, elevates my energy level and makes me feel great when I’m done.

One of the most popular questions I get is, How do I know how to workout? When Dan and I lived in Las Vegas I had in amazing trainer that taught me everything about fitness. Her name is Myranda Watkins and I trained with her for 5 years. She taught me how to lift weights  with correct form and taught me high intensity workouts also. I highly suggest investing in a good trainer. It is worth every penny! If you are on a budget and can’t afford a trainer, Alexia Clark is huge on Instagram and she breaks down all her workouts.

What do I eat for breakfast?  Breakfast starts my day off right.  I usually have 5 egg whites with tomatoes, onions , avocado and morning star veggie bacon. As for my carbs, I usually mix it up and have 1/2 cup raw oat meal (no sugar added) with cinnamon and blue berries. I also like eating Ezekiel tortilla, which you can find at Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s.

How long did it take to see results? I saw results on my body after 2 months working out hard and eating super clean. Mixing up my  workouts with high intensity and doing low impact workouts has helped too.

If you can give advice to a person that is trying to workout for the first time what would it be? I would highly recommend doing high intensity workouts with some resistance bands and cardio. This will challenge their body and they will see results fast.

Do I have a Cheat Meals?Yes yes I do. I look forward to my cheat meal because I deserve to treat myself with my favorite dish. It’s my reward for working out hard 5 days out of the week. I never deprive myself. I love to food to much and usually have one cheat meal on our date night, which I look forward too.

I’m not a trainer but these are things that have help me with my fitness. Eating better, working out 5 to 6 days a week, lifting weights with resistance bands and doing 30 minutes of cardio  everyday.

If you guys have more question please ask! I look forward answering your questions.

Cheetah Love For Fall

October 10, 2018 - Leave a Comment

Cheetah print is back in trend my friends! I’m not sure if you are a animal print lover but  animal print is huge this fall. I’m so happy that October is here, because I get to decorate my entire house with spooky items. Now let me get back to my cheetah look that I’m currently loving for fall. This cheetah skirt from Reformation is super stylish and fits your body well. I think this skirt will sell out pretty quick so if you are a fan, make sure to purchase this skirt soon. Everyone needs some cheetah in their closet. It’s great to wear for work and after work as well.

Finally, I like how this adorable brown sweater from Chriselle Lim compliments this cheetah print and also goes well with denim. The color tone of the sweater is great because it goes  with all fall colors. Not sure how long animal print will stick around but let me know in the comments if you are a animal print lover. Thank you for stopping by!
