I’m finally feeling better and living life to the fullest. As you all know SXSW is happening here in Austin Tx, and I can’t wait to attend a couple of events this week. Today I will be sharing 5 tips on how to add floral print into your daily wardrobe. If you are a person that’s afraid of print and floral patterns these tips will help you.
1.Brighten up- If your wardrobe is filled with solids and dark colors, adding a burst of floral print can help you build an amazing outfit. For example, a floral blouse could be paired up with a solid color cardigan and jeans.
2. Tone it Down– Floral patterns can be bright, bold and busy which can be easily toned down. For example, this floral off the shoulder two piece that I am wearing can be toned down by throwing on a denim jacket or a long olive vest.
3. Size of the Pattern- A large floral pattern can overwhelm a petite woman. You want to always keep in mind that bright, bold colors and high contrast colors will draw more attention and potentially add more width to the figure. Darker and more tonal colors will give you a better look to your body.
4. Elegant Pants- This spring you will see lots of floral pants this season. (if you don’t like a lot of attention on your lower body, skip this one) Otherwise, yes this trend can be done tastefully. I would suggest to go for a floral in a softer palette and try it with a solid top.
5. Accessories- Any floral accessories can add a feminine touch to your look. Try to pair your wardrobe-staple dark denim pants with floral shoes. Also, another favorite thing I like to do is wear a silky floral scarf with a simple outfit.
