Hello Friends,
I am so excited to share with you all our finished dining room! Since we moved into our new home in Austin, Texas we decided to pick one section of the house to work on rather than trying to decorate all the rooms at once. For me the dining room is one of the most important rooms because it is the place where Dan and I can can connect and talk after a long day’s work.
In my previous post, I talked about how I love shopping Wayfair for furniture. All of their furniture is not only beautiful but very affordable. So when I was looking for a bench and some chairs to complete my dining room set, I naturally turned to Wayfair. I am really into the vintage vibe and these green patterned chairs were a perfect compliment to the table that my husband, Dan, refinished. I had wanted to take before and after pictures of the table; but Dan wanted to get started on it.
Believe me when I say that the transformation of this table is incredible! The distressed look of the table, coupled with the chairs and bench, brings a vintage elegance to our dining room area. To tie the look together, I bought the painting on the wall from HomeGoods (another one of my favorite stores) and the yellow door mat I purchased at Target. I wanted to add a pop of color to the off-white table so I decided to add pears to the center of the table. I have to admit that I need a little help when it comes to decorating; so I look on Pinterest to get some great ideas. I am pretty proud of how the dining room turned out! Our next project is my office that we will be starting next month. I can’t wait to see how it will turn out! Let me know what home decor stores you enjoy shopping in.
